realistic, achievable, personalized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations and;
connecting them to other natural, holistic, integrative practitioners and resources
We believe that health is an equity issue and that everyone should have access to healthy food, resources, peace, and well-being- including those who have been marginalized, oppressed, and impacted by the systemic trauma of racism and might have fewer resources due to those systemic harms.
We believe that healing is our right and that every individual has the potential to thrive in their own unique way.
We believe that knowledge is power and that when we know better (and have support and resources), we can do better. We bridge the gap in equitable eating and living through helping people to:
understand our bodies' unique design;
understand the relationship between food and health;
experience holistic wellness practices, and
feel more confident in creating healthy dishes and habits-
all through free community classes for families and individuals.
Preventable, reversible health disparities, suffering and early deaths are way too common in our communities. This includes impacts from conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, obesity, fibroids, erectile dysfunction, Alzheimer's disease, allergies, etc. There is hope for those and many other conditions, and we are honored to partner to provide eduction, and meaningful, consistent support with diet, lifestyle and wellness practices at an individual, community and systems level.
We believe that food is medicine (along with rest, connection, sunshine, herbs and regular, enjoyable physical movement).
